The show deviated from the novel because of audience request, and started airing the second season with the story line of the movie The Parent Trap. The first season of the show was a remake of Hindi show Kumkum Bhagya which itself was based on the English novel Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen.
After the first season the serial took a gap of about ten days from 3 July 2020 to 13 July 2020. It is the first Malayalam serial to get a second season. Set in Trivandrum and the family's kalakshetra (traditional artists' studio), the story revolves around the family life of widow Sethulakshmi and her three unwed daughters, and their determination to have a happy family life despite the lack of a male head of household. The show aired its last episode on 27 March 2021. It aired on Asianet and on-demand through Disney+ Hotstar. It stars Sreeram Ramachandran and Rebecca Santhosh along with experienced senior actors Praveena, Raghavan, Sreelatha Namboothiri and Beena Antony. The show premiered on Asianet channel on 11 December 2017. Kasthooriman ( Musk Deer) was an Indian Malayalam television series directed by Sachin K. Ibaque. The case has created a sensation in the television industry. The police have reportedly nabbed both the perpetrators and have booked them under various sections.
Balram Upadhyay the City Commisioner has stated that his investigative team along with cyber crime department traced and found that a person from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu and another one from Delhi were behind the crime. Praveena had also complained that the fake account user also followed her Instagram account and sharing the same photos to her and also threatening her.
Sometime back Praveena who hails from Kerala lodged a police complaint against a fake Instagram account in her name on which morphed photos of her in intimate positions with one of her costars who plays her son in 'Raja Rani 2' was published.
The serial has Alya Manasa and Siddhu in the lead roles and is a big hit amongst home viewers. Veteran actress Praveena is famous for her role as the heroine's mother in law in the hit serial 'Raja Rani 2' which is airing on Vijay TV.
